I never realized how much of a green thumb my husband really had until we started this project. He didn't much enjoy putting the boxes in but now he loves to be outside tending to our plants and veggies. It is so fun to see the joy he gets from it. I enjoy it too but gardening in embeded deep in his family roots.
I have been meaning to post the progress of our garden as we go but unfortunately that didn't happen. Therefore, this post is a little lengthy but worth it.
The adventure has begun. Shae begins clearing bark and digging for our new garden. Little did he know that under all that bark was rock hard clay. Needless to say, he was very happy when that part was over.
Ta Da! Wow four big garden boxes. Are we over zealous or what?
Aiden is a super big helper. Here he is helping daddy measure the boxes for their tops.
Garden boxes complete. Now all we need is vegetables. Don't worry they are already here just waiting for the last frost to plant!
Shae planting the first plant in the new garden. We can't wait to have a fresh salad with all that lettuce.
Our first watering experience. Aiden loves to help us water the garden which usually ends in one of us getting wet!
Aiden and Daddy giving our plants some good nutrients!
Aiden getting ready to help plant tomatoes!
Aiden loves to be a part of the gardening too. Here he is showing off one of our baby strawberries. We can't wait to eat it!
After we finished planting Aiden wanted to call grandma and grandpa to tell them all about it. I have received a lot of requests for pregnancy pictures, so I posed with him.

Loved the gardening pictures! Mark spent all day Saturday ripping out our front flower bed/box and redoing it all -- he's much more of a gardener than I am too. I think he really enjoys it. Can't wait to hear about you eating the salads etc. that you grew yourselves.
I need to post some pictures of my garden. I still have a few more things to plant. Sorry we couldn't make it down to Grant's Pass when we were up there. We flew into Portland and were in Lincoln City the rest of the time. We want to plan a drive up though and spend a day or two with you guys. we just have to figure out when. If you need any girl stuff let me know. What is your due date?
Beth I love your little pregnant belly. You look so cute! We are extrememly jelous of your garden boxes. I hope everything grows well for you!!
Wow! The garden looks awesome. You also look awesome as a pregnant mom, Beth!:) Hope all continues to go well for you and your family.
Beth your belly looks so cute, and your garden looks great. I think you must have a head start over us, because our biggest plant is only about 1 inch. Your mom looks great. It has been a long time since I have seen her. Mailee was the same way with the kite. She was more interested in the swings!! Your family is cute!
Hooray for gardening! That was a fun post - almost as good as being there!
