Two weeks ago we embarked on a week long adventure to scout camp near Bend, Reno and Lake Tahoe. On Monday Shae left with the boy scouts for camp and Aiden and I headed to Reno for a visit. My mom unfortunately had to leave for San Fransico about two hours after our arrival, however, it was nice to get to see her for a little while. Aiden and I spent the next day visiting a few friends we hadn't seen in a while. Then on Wednesday, Shae and the rest of the Johnson family joined us and we all headed up to Truckee for Hal and Andrea's 40th anniversary celebration.
Here we are with our friends Jenn and Caleb, plus Hannah and her two little ones, Laurel and Maisy. It was so good to finally meet the twins! Oh yeah, and a big thank you to Jenn and Caleb for carting us around all day. I hope we didn't wear you out too much!
I was feeding Laurel when Aiden took great interest and asked if he could feed her too. I hope this is a sign of good things to come when our little girl joins us. Aiden is so good around babies and so far has loved to help. (By the way, I know I look huge in this picture, however, I think it might be the way I am positioned and the camera angle because other pictures show a big difference.)
After visiting with Hannah and her family, we ventured over to our friends the Forbush's. Oops I forgot to take a picture while I was there. It was good to visit with them though. Then it was off to dinner with Heidi, Tami, and Owen. Here is Owen and Aiden having a good time playing cars at the restaurant. Needless to say, Aiden was pretty tuckered out by the time we made it back to Grandma Susi's house. I think he slept in until 9:30 the next day.

Yeah, Wednesday finally came. Shae arrived from central Oregon about the same time his family came in from Utah, so we all met at Costco for some last minute groceries and some pizza. Here is Grandma entertaining the grandkids in the book section.
Unfortunately not one of our three vehicles had a lot of room to spare so we had to get creative with where to put the groceries. This is what our car looked like. Poor Aiden couldn't see out of any of his windows. Here is a view from the outside. Finally all 13 of us made it up to the cabin in Truckee at about 9:00pm. Everyone was exhausted but happy to be all together.
Stay tuned for part 2 and probably 3 and 4 too...

That is the cutest picture of Aiden with the grocery's! We had to do that one time before we got our 4-Runner. Sweet Aiden! You look so good! I'm so glad you had fun thus far..... I'll stay tuned!

How fun to see a pic of you with Jenn -- I haven't seen/heard from her in forever. Someone else actually told me she had a baby -- so it was fun to see the pic!
This post is great. I love reading about your family and seeing Aiden with his friends. I just can't get over how sweet and cute that boy of your is.
