It is amazing how having a newborn takes up so much time. I meant to get this out sooner but I haven't been able to sit at the computer long enough to do it.

It is wonderful to know that you are loved and supported. Two of my dear friends, Erica and Kayde, were kind enough to accompany me to the hospital while Shae was working and spending quality time with Aiden. Thank you also to Shelby and Erica, and all who offered, for watching Aiden as well.

It was so great to be able to put Brooklyn in the car seat. It was difficult to leave our original hospital with an empty car seat. She did well and slept the whole ride home.

Well, after a long ten days of driving back and forth to the hospital (which was about 45 minutes away), we finally got to welcome Brooklyn home. It was so great to be able to have her home with the whole family. She is doing well and the doctors don't think she will have any further problems from her infection. She is a great baby. She eats and sleeps well, and we are enjoying every minute with her. Aiden is also doing quite well. After he recovered from his cold, he was able to hold her and give her loves. He is very helpful and even likes to get in on the changing diaper action. Thanks to everyone for their thoughts, prayers, and support. A special thanks to Kelly and her beautiful daughters for surprising us with this great sign.

Here are some pictures from our stay in the hospital, as well as her coming home.
Grandpa B and Nonnie say goodbye before they had to head home. Thanks for all your help during our craziness. We loved having you and Aiden can't wait for you to come again.
Brooklyn taking her usual snooze after feeding time. She loved the picture our friend Ellie painted for her.
Unfortunately besides the hospital stay for Brooklyn, Shae and Aiden also had various viruses that we had to contend with. Thus, the oh so fashionable masks they are wearing. Aiden wasn't to fond of his but he managed to keep it on long enough to say hi to Brooklyn.
Grandma and Grandpa Johnson came to stay for a week. We were so grateful for the help. Here they are with us in the hospital. Shae and I were able to stay with Brooklyn on her final night there. We were very grateful for discharge the next morning.
Brooklyn is ready to leave the hospital in her very fashionable cherry outfit. We were so excited to finally be able to dress her in her own clothes.

Hello Beth!!!
I am so glad your little girl made it home safely. She is beautiful. I can't decide who she looks like. And...you were my inspiration to start a blog. I kept coming back to see what you were doing, and other's linked from your blog, too, and decided to join the fun. You guys are darling. Congrats on having her home. Best of luck in the coming months. Best advice to remember: Evertying...EVERYTHING...gets easier after 3 months. Until then, no (more) worries. Love, mandy
