Family Vacation, the final chapter!

This vacation is taking way to long to blog so here is the rather lengthy final chapter. I will probably be posting a lot this week so I can catch up before we have the baby and have a whole new chapter in our lives to blog about.

Beach day! We ventured over to Kings Beach at Lake Tahoe from Truckee and had a blast playing in the sand and water. I have to say it was the warmest Tahoe has ever been to me. The only sad part was the true beauty of the lake was missing due to the smoke from the California fires. We couldn't even see across the lake.

I guess our morning adventures tired the little ones out. Here are Aiden and Evie having a little nap on the way to the beach.

Daddy and Aiden built a great sand castle that Aiden is standing in the middle of.

Here we are burying Dave in the sand. Aiden enjoyed pouring water on him too.

All of the children loved playing in the sand and digging with their new buckets and shovels.

On Friday evening my wonderful friends threw me a baby shower. Here I am at the shower with my mom.

These are all the Johnson clan women. From left to right there is Tara, Lisa (pregnant due in Sept.), Me (Due about now), Andrea, and Heather (due with twins in January).

Here I am with Heidi, Alyssa and Tami. Thanks so much for the wonderful shower! We had a great time.

Happy 40th anniversary Hal and Andrea. Saturday evening we celebrated with stories of the past, cake and ice cream. It was fun to listen to how they met and got engaged.

For the special occasion we made Hal and Andrea a photo quilt with pictures of great memories from the last 40 years. It was a big hit. Now the big question is where to display it.
Our last day was a Sunday. After we went to church we stopped by the Reno temple. It was great to be able to show Aiden where mom and dad were married.
