Our Little Sick One and Our Little Chef

It seems that our little Brooklyn just can't catch a break. She has had quite a start to her young life. A couple of days ago when we woke up I noticed that she was breathing quite fast and was rather wheezy. A quick call to daddy, lead to a not so quick trip to the doctor, medical supply shop, and the pharmacy. We are now the proud owners of a nebulizer and we would like to introduce you to Brooklyn's new friend (or enemy as she probably thinks it is), Bubbles.

Meet Bubbles... He is here to help Brooklyn's little lungs so she can breathe easier.

Brooklyn meeting Bubbles.

This is how Brooklyn feels about Bubbles. Unfortunately Brooklyn is not a fan of the breathing treatments, but if all goes well we will only have to do them until Monday. I think she turned the corner today. She seems to be more herself and looks a lot better.

In other family news, Aiden has broadened his cooking skills from strictly baking to include pasta making (basically anything that includes the stand mixer). Last night we wanted to make some homemade pasta and gnocchi (a potato based pasta) was the choice.

Aiden and daddy cooking it up in the kitchen.

Rolling the gnocchi into their familiar oval, ridged shapes.
Our finished product mixed with some homemade pesto from Shae's coworker Jeff (thanks so much Jeff!).

Here's a short video of all the gnocchi making fun. Enjoy, we sure did.

We also, unfortunately, are the owners of one of those nebulizers. If she's like Tyler, after a few days or so, she'll get used to it and just deal with it. Sorry you have to deal with it as well. :(

Bubbles is about the cutest nebulizer I've ever seen...hopefully Brooklyn will make friends with him soon! Aiden is a great cook. Miss you!

Gosh! Sounds like they couldn't make enough nebulizers this year! The doctor gave Simon one that was shaped like a train, but he didn't get the cute mask. Hope Brooklyn feels better soon! And, you have to make us gnocchi when we come out to visit one day soon! They are my favorite:)

Good thing you married a doc! At least they put a cute little animal on the nebulizer! If Aiden cooks like his mom - he'll be a great chef!
